Shep Gordon is co-chairman of Alive Films, an independent production company, and President of the management firm Alive Enterprises. He has helped guide the careers of Alice Cooper, Blondie, Teddy Pendergrass, Kenny Loggins, The Gypsy Kings, Burton Cummings, Luther Vandross, Raquel Welch and Ben Vereen.

Gordon is responsible for sales in the excess of one million records worldwide, and has Executive Produced feature films including Prince of Darkness (1987), They Live (1988), Shocker (1989), The People Under the Stairs (1991) and Village of the Damned (1995). 

He is also credited with creating the concept of the celebrity chef, helping to elevate the public careers of culinary heavyweights such as Nobu Matsuhisa, Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck and Roger Vergé. 

The 2013 documentary Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon was released by A&E IndieFilms and was the directorial debut of Mike Myers.  It screened at both Toronto International Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival before it’s theatrical release in 2014.

Gordon’s autobiography “They Call Me Supermensch: A Backstage Pass to the Amazing Worlds of Film, Food and Rock’n’Roll” was released in 2016 by Anthony Bourdain/Ecco.
