Earning a Business degree from the University of North Carolina and a Master’s degree from USC, Scott worked as a Human Resource Director before turning his writing passion to screenplays in 2009. His first film about sexual racism starring a Korean American actor won multiple awards and gained him a huge following in the Asian American community. A series of short films over four years, all starring Asian American actors, won him numerous awards and gave him the opportunity to showcase minority talent in non-stereotypical leading roles.
In 2010 he developed the 501c3 non-profit Asians on Film devoted to arts and entertainment with a primary focus on the recognition and support of Asian/Pacific Islander talent. in 2012 he premiered the only Asian short film festival outside of Asia, Asians on Film Festival of Shorts.
His experience in HR became a natural fit as a manager in developing Asian talent in Hollywood and in early 2014 his management company, Asian Cinema Entertainment, began representing Asian American actors and actresses.
